Why would you work at your business?

For anyone hiring right now, before you post your listing, know the answers to the following:

  1. Why would you work at your business?

  2. What experience do we want every candidate to have?

  3. Do we have the resources in place to make #2 happen?

  4. What’s it like working at my business?

  5. “think about the implications of asinine requirements like "from a top college" or using jargon or gendered terms that exclude.” —Nathalie Molina Niño

Most founders and leaders spend a ton of time on their pitches for investors and customers, but copy and paste their pitch for candidates. Don’t be lazy. Put in the time to attract the right people for your team.
